She graduated in Journalism from UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) and worked as a reporter on TV Gua\u00edba (1981) and RBS-TV (1984). Began her film career in the early 1980s, filming in Super-8. She was one of the founders of <em>Casa de Cinema de Porto Alegre<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a producer, her films won over 200 awards in Brazil and internationally.
